♻️ Recycling Centre Booking System Update

North Somerset Council has confirmed that the new recycling centre booking system will be introduced early next year.

From Monday 2nd February 2026, residents will need to book a time slot before visiting the Weston-super-Mare site.

The system will then be in place for the Portishead and Backwell sites from Monday 2nd March 2026.

Residents who hold vehicle permits will be contacted by North Somerset Council with information on how permits will work with the upcoming changes.

The booking system will be available online via the North Somerset Council website and the North Somerset Council app.

For residents without internet access, North Somerset Council is asking friends and family members to help by making bookings online on their behalf.

Booking online is the quickest, easiest and most cost-effective way to secure a suitable time slot. Calls to the contact centre will be handled by an automated system to collect the necessary booking information.
