Wraxall and Failand Clubs and Societies
The Parish has many thriving clubs and societies catering for a diverse range of interests:
Failand Society:
The Society’s season starts in September with a Wine and Cheese Party then interesting presentations are given once a month in the Failand Village Hall through to March. The program also includes a Christmas Quiz, a dinner in April, a day out in May and the Annual General Meeting in June. The aim is to meet together and get to know people: new members are always very welcome. Failand Drama Circle:
Based at Failand Village Hall, this group aims to promote amateur theatre. Typically the group stages 3 productions per year, a play and 2 musicals, and holds a number of club nights and social activities. A warm welcome is offered to those interested in performing, helping backstage, directing or joining as a social member. The Failanders’ Club:
The Club was founded on Wednesday 12 February 1986 for the retired residents of Failand and now has over 60 members who meet on the second Wednesday of each month for coffee, lunch or occasional outings. Membership of this friendly club costs £1 per year. Details of monthly activities and contact information are found in the Parish Magazine and the Failand Hall Broadsheet.
Failand & Portbury Cricket Club:

Failand Table Tennis Club:
Failand Table Tennis Club was founded in the 1950s by Ron Bowles and Nellie Mason – two local residents who wanted to play, promote and coach Table Tennis. The Club now has multiple teams in the Bristol & District League from the Premier to Division 6 as well as social players and highly qualified coaches.
