North Somerset Council Transport Hub Survey
With funding secured through central government, North Somerset Council is planning to upgrade Worle Interchange in Weston-super-Mare and create new transport hubs in Clevedon, Nailsea and Portishead.
The transport hubs are intended to offer useful facilities that make it easier and more appealing to travel on foot, by wheel and by bus – providing a connection point between these different forms of transport.
The hub designs and locations have been directly shaped by conversations with community representatives, residents, businesses and bus operators – to create sensitive, attractive designs tailored to local needs and the environment.
While the transport hub designs differ from town to town, they include features such as high-quality bus shelters and waiting areas, cycle facilities, Information points, real-time information displays, cycle parking and planting.
Residents and businesses can now take part in surveys to provide comments on the specific design features of these transport hubs.
