📃Community Governance Review – Your Support is Needed!
Wraxall and Failand Parish Council has previously informed residents that the Community Governance Review (CGR) Second Stage Consultation is currently in progress.
The CGR is assessing our Parish boundaries which, if changed, will have a direct impact on all residents of Wraxall and Failand.
Following the enormous effort made by parishioners in making their voices heard during the First Stage Consultation, North Somerset Council has now updated their recommendation for the Second Stage Consultation with the following statement:
Draft Recommendation 10: That the residential area known as The Elms and the undeveloped area to the north remains in Wraxall and Failand
The final decision will be made by North Somerset Council, taking into consideration the strength of local responses to this updated statement.
In light of the “Nailsea’s Future” leaflet recently published and distributed by Nailsea Town Council (NTC) on social media (17th October) and through leaflets handed out within Nailsea, it cannot be emphasised enough that your support is crucial.
All Residents are strongly encouraged to complete the Second Stage Consultation on the North Somerset Council website by clicking on the link below:

Take extra care when answering the questions, as the wording of some questions and the “yes/no” options may have changed.
✔️ Support keeping The Elms and the surrounding land within Wraxall & Failand Parish.
✔️ Make sure your voice is heard before the final decision is made.
Top Tip: Please use the optional “share any extra thoughts or reasons for your answer” comment box to express your support for the Elms and the surrounding land to remain within Wraxall and Failand Parish and the impact of a boundary change on you.
🗓️ Consultation deadline: 31st October 2025
Your voice will make a real difference!
