NSC red recycling bag trial to include parts of Wraxall

In November 2024 North Somerset Council will be trialling a new red recycling bag at 6,000 properties across North Somerset, to help residents separate their recycling. The households are in six areas, including parts of Wraxall.  The bag will be delivered with full instructions for households to start using the new recycling bag immediately, as well as their existing recycling containers.

North Somerset Council are doing this trial in response to feedback from their recent waste consultation. Residents told them that they would like more space for recycling and to make it simpler to sort recycling.

Over the coming weeks North Somerset Council will be in touch with the town and parish councils who have roads included in the trial, to let them know when the bag will be delivered and provide more information for them to share with their residents.

CANCELLED – Road Closure Notice – Wraxall Hill. Commencing 4th November for 29 days

North Somerset Council has advised the Parish Council that this work is being postponed indefinitely.

If and when any further information is received this will be published on this website.
